BIG FAT INDIAN WEDDINGS: INVERTERS THAT CAN DRAW POWER FROM GUEST’S CARS!!
Indian weddings at times are disrupted due to power cuts. In one of the Bollywood movie ‘3 Idiots’ a hilarious scene casting lead actor ‘Amir Khan’ talks about a strange but out of the box concept of an alternate power source.
In the scene Amir Khan, uninvited for a wedding is caught red handed by the bride’s father eating food. As an excuse the actor (who happens to be the student and bride’s father apparently the dean of the same college) justifies his presence as ‘Emissaries of Science’ and explains his design which will provide a solution to frequent power cuts disrupting wedding celebration. His project was to create an Inverter that can power from guest’s car.
Technological innovation offers us amazing possibilities and world is moving towards progress. But today there are still certain areas which still fail to enjoy the taste of technology, where people are left with no choice but face disappointment. Due many challenges the possible solution is cheap, easily available alternate source of energy.
The Out of the Box concept, although odd but is a source of inspiration to look out for such possibilities.
